Community and charity work
David and the team at the Rose Inn, Kennington offer a very warm welcome to friends old and new. There is a strong community focus here and the pub is involved in lots of charitable work.
Charity work
The Rose Inn sponsors two local Ashford youth football teams, and David has been known to serve up in excess of 50 sausage and chips meals after a game!
They also sponsor a local ladies team Diamonds United, and a local special needs school, Wyvern School.
In the summer a charity football match was held, the Old Boys team against a local Ashford club, fundraising for the Pilgrims Hospice. David fed the team afterwards with an impromptu 100 burgers flipped on two frying pans, as the planned BBQ was rained off!
